Olive & Ember

One oven, one ember, and a table waiting.

The Olive & Ember identity is built from what is in the room: the arch of the oven, the glow inside it, the dark green walls and the cream of a linen napkin.

Brand guidelines, version 1, October 2026. A sample identity by DBS Studios for a made-up restaurant.

Clear space and size

Give the logo room. Keep a clear space around it equal to half the height of the logo, marked x. Nothing else goes inside that space: no text, no edges, no other logos.

The room at 8pm: dark green walls, firelight, cream linen. Mostly dark, with ember used only where it matters.

Photography

Shot by firelight. The food is the hero, close and warm, on dark stone, olive wood and linen. The room is shown the way it feels at 8pm.

Warm, low light

Real firelight and candlelight. No flash, no bright white backgrounds, no cold daylight.

Close on the plate

From above or at a low angle, filling the frame. One dish per picture, as it leaves the pass.

Dark, natural grounds

Green stone, olive wood, grey linen. Let the food bring the colour. No props that are not on the table.
